Job Description
The Trade Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving trade effectiveness by developing and executing trade strategies that support brand growth and commercial objectives. The role focuses on trade planning, channel development, and execution excellence across Modern Trade (MT), General Trade (GT), and B2B channels. This position acts as a critical bridge between Marketing, Sales, and field teams to ensure strong in-market execution, actionable insights, and sustainable channel performance.
1. Trade Strategy & Commercial Planning
• Develop and manage trade marketing plans by channel, ensuring alignment with brand strategies, sales priorities, and business objectives.
• Translate business goals into clear trade programs, promotional strategies, and execution roadmaps across MT, GT, and B2B.
• Lead trade planning for key initiatives such as product launches, channel programs, and promotional cycles.
• Continuously review trade performance and recommend optimization actions based on results and market changes.
2. Market, Channel & Shopper Insights (MT, GT, B2B)
• Build deep understanding of channel structures, customer needs, and shopper behavior across MT, GT, and B2B environments.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing movements, and promotional intensity to identify opportunities and risks.
• Collect, analyze, and synthesize market and execution data to generate insights that support planning, forecasting, and decision-making.
• Manage and optimize the trade promotion calendar to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and strong market impact.
• Conduct structured market observations, customer feedback initiatives, and basic research to strengthen shopper and channel understanding.
3. Field Execution Governance & Capability Management
• Convert trade strategies into clear execution standards, guidelines, and priorities for merchandisers in the field.
• Plan and manage merchandiser execution on field, including coverage, deployment, and workload allocation across channels.
• Lead, monitor, and evaluate the performance of merchandisers in the field, ensuring execution quality, compliance, and productivity.
• Define execution KPIs and reporting frameworks to track performance and link execution results to commercial outcomes.
• Conduct regular field visits to audit execution, coach merchandisers, and ensure consistency with trade standards.

Education & Experience
• University degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Trade, or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, or related commercial functions.
• Experience in Electronic Appliances, Construction Materials, Consumer Goods is an advantage
Knowledge & Skills
• Strong understanding of trade marketing principles, channel dynamics, and in-store execution.
• Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and competitive activity to generate actionable insights.
• Good planning, coordination, and project management skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
