Tester / QA QC Engineer (Manual / Automation)

Your role & responsibilities

Quality Engineering

• Design comprehensive testing strategies for complex distributed systems.
• Ensure reliability of critical OTA workflows including:
  • hotel search
  • booking
  • payment
  • reservation modification
  • cancellation and refunds.
• Develop risk-based testing strategies for business-critical logic.

 

Test Automation

• Build and maintain automation frameworks for:
  • UI testing
  • API testing
  • end-to-end testing.
• Implement regression automation pipelines integrated with CI/CD.
• Continuously improve automation coverage and reduce manual testing overhead.

 

Integration & Contract Testing

• Test integrations with external systems such as:
  • booking engines
  • payment gateways
  • GDS
  • channel managers
  • travel suppliers.
• Implement API contract testing and schema validation to prevent breaking changes across partner integrations.

 

Reliability & Observability

• Monitor and investigate production defects and system behavior.
• Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents.
• Work with engineering teams to reduce:
  • defect leakage
  • change failure rate
  • production incidents.

 

AI-assisted Quality Engineering

• Apply AI-assisted testing tools to generate test scenarios and improve test coverage.
• Use AI to reduce test maintenance cost and improve defective detection efficiency.

Your skills & qualifications

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in QA, Test Automation, or SDET roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical fields.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as:
  • Playwright
  • Cypress
  • Selenium
• Programming experience in:
  • JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Python (preferred).
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and testing strategies.

 

Technical Skills

• Experience with:
  • API testing and REST services
  • test automation frameworks
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • microservice architecture
  • debugging complex system failures.

 

Communication

• Strong written English for technical documentation is required.
• Conversational English is a plus.

 

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with travel / OTA / hospitality platforms is highly valued.
• Understanding of complex travel domain scenarios such as:
  • multi-currency pricing
  • multi-language platforms
  • inventory and allotment management
  • cancellation policies and tax calculations
  • promotions and discount systems
  • rate and availability synchronization.

 

Bonus Points

• Experience with:
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker)
  • AI-assisted testing or LLM tools
  • performance testing
  • contract testing frameworks
  • observability tools
  • Agile/Scrum development environments.
