Job Description

We’re looking for a Technical Engineering (TE) Engineer responsible to work closely with US R&D, Product Marketing, Supply Chain and to coordinate the corresponding manufacturing partnership team(s) (Production, HR, Import/Export, Planning, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Technical Development). Technical Engineering Engineer focus will include facility layout and optimization, productivity efforts to drive best cost, quality, lead time and safety through lean flow, automation.
TE Engineer is the key member of International Sourcing & Productivity (ISP) Team and report to ISP Director.
Responsibilities & Duties
Product:
• Mange the Engineering to complete engineering of new developments and production.
• Review / Audit CAD and BOM accuracy.
• Sign-off the production readiness (CAD approval, BOM completion, golden sample …etc).
• Drive DFM and technical reviews to ensure the design of tooling die meet Customer requirements.
• Work as Technical Antenna to drive the engineering change at suppliers.
• Work with Sourcing team to qualify new material, new components, and new sources for Productivity Projects such as Value Engineering, Change of Supplier.
Process:
• Accountable for Manufacturing Capacity Management at supplier.
• To define and deploy Manufacturing Engineering Processes and standards and engineering specifications.
• Lead setup and optimization efforts of factory, production flow, equipment.
• Successful implementation of automation, kaizen projects, and other continuous improvement tools.
• Technical authority and accountable for the Method of manufacture and compliance to design intent.
• Assist in supplier production problem solving.
• Bsc in Industrial Engineering, Operation Management, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or any related
• Fluent in English and Chinese is a plus. Must be able to communicate clearly and directly with the US team and our Asian based contract manufacturing partner.
• 7+ years of related experience and general knowledge in plastic, sheet metal, powder coating, coating technology, electronic.
• Knowledge about 7 Tools IE, 7 Tools QC, Kaizen, 7 Wastes, 6-Sigma, DMAIC, Line Balance
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Lean manufacturing orientated
• AutoCAD, Solid Work capable as well as general software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• High energy, adaptable, proactive, and collaborative mindset.
• Flexible to be able to travel to work onsite at supplier for qualification critical components or assigned tasks
