We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Platform Engineer to join our In-Vehicle Systems team. This role will be pivotal in developing, maintaining, and optimizing the underlying software platform for automotive applications, encompassing QNX, Hypervisor, Android, BSP, and Kernel layers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring platform stability, security, and compliance with Google Automotive requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Variant Management: Develop and maintain product variant handling setups to support diverse hardware configurations and software customizations.
• Sensor Integration: Integrate and validate Sensor HALs and gyro drivers, ensuring they meet specified performance and functional requirements.
• Bootloader & Hypervisor Management: Maintain board configurations, ensuring reliable boot processes for both the host OS and hypervisor environments under normal operating conditions.
• Partition Management: Manage partition layouts for specialized products, optimizing storage utilization and performance.
• Security Integration: Integrate and test Google attestation and Widevine components, ensuring secure content playback and platform integrity.
• OEM & Factory Coordination: Drive and align with OEM partners and DHU (Device Handling Unit) factories on key management processes, including key reception and CSR (Certificate Signing Request) uploads to Google.
• Configuration Management: Maintain current solutions for unified configuration handling and develop new solutions for upcoming projects.
• Software Architecture: Design and develop software architecture for Android Middleware/Platform within the automotive domain.
• Google Compliance: Ensure all implementations adhere to Google automotive requirements and successfully pass xTS (extended Testing Suite) certification.
• BSP/Kernel Development: Work with BSP (Board Support Package) and Kernel layers to optimize performance and stability.
• Build System Management: Maintain and enhance the build system for efficient software builds and releases.

Your Skills and Experience

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in embedded systems software development, specifically within the automotive domain.
• Strong experience with QNX, Android, and/or Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) platforms.
• Experience with Hypervisor technologies (e.g., Xen, Virtualization Framework).
• Deep understanding of BSP and Kernel development.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Experience with build systems (e.g., Yocto, Gradle).
• Knowledge of security principles and attestation processes.
• Strong understanding of Google Automotive compliance requirements.

Preferred:

• Experience with Android Automotive OS (AAOS).
• Experience with Sensor HAL integration.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
• Experience working with OEM partners and factory teams.
• Experience with automated testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
