JOB PURPOSE:
• Oversee and manage engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) activities to ensure project delivery aligns with technical specifications, schedule, budget, and legal regulations.
• Provide technical support throughout project lifecycle, including commissioning and operation phases, supporting troubleshooting, coordination with O&M teams, and contribute to business development by evaluating the feasibility of new projects.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Defining the scope and specification of work, to procure the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor for the project.
• Bidding for engineering, procurement, and construction contractors for the project within the required scope of work, schedule, and budget, by the objective of the project.
• Reviewing, coordinating, controlling, and following upon works with contractors to ensure that the engineering, procurement and construction works are by the project specification, on time, within budget, following the objective of the project, and complying with electrical standards, permits, laws, and regulation
• Following the objective of the project complying with electrical standards, permits, laws, and regulation.
• Providing technical support on relevant issues to complete the project effectively.
• Supporting the business development process through input to proposals, meeting and interviewing with prospective projects, etc… to realize the projects that are technically and financially feasible.
• Providing construction observation/inspection and field support of startup and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Serving as project manager to ensure project/task completion, when assigned.
• Providing technical support during operation phase to troubleshoot issues and optimize plant performance.
• Other tasks as assignments.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/power system engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering and/or engineering design.
• Designing and/or reviewing electrical designs/studies.
• Work as a project engineer/manager.
• Conducting and/or reviewing technical feasibility studies in electrical/structural/environmental aspects.
• Providing technical expertise, especially electrical and power system engineering.
• Experience in power plant/ renewable energy/ hydropower/ gas/ petroleum/ petrochemicals/ high voltage substation is required.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
• Knowledge of international electrical standards related to electric power systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of power systems.
• Proficient in electrical design software packages (AUTOCAD, PSS/E, etc.)
• Knowledge of Vietnamese standards, and regulations related to electric power systems.
SKILL/ABILITY REQUIRED:
• Proficiency in MOS (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant systems.
• Fluent in English both written and verbal and good computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good at self-leadership.
• Ability to travel/work in upcountry and abroad.
