We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong product mindset to work directly with US clients in the finance and loan space, while leading delivery with our engineering team in Vietnam.
At Spartan, this role is not just about tracking timelines. You will sit between US founders, business stakeholders, and our Vietnam-based engineers. You are expected to understand the business, challenge assumptions, and help teams build the right product, not just ship features.
We embed with startups backed by YC, Pear VC, a16z, Techstars, and others. Many of our clients operate in regulated domains like lending and finance, where clarity, trust, and execution matter.
If you enjoy owning delivery, working across time zones, and translating complex business needs into clear execution, this role is for you.

What You Will Do
- Work directly with US clients and founders in the finance and loan domain
- Understand business goals, user flows, and regulatory constraints
- Own project delivery from planning to launch
- Translate client requirements into clear PRDs, specs, and milestones
- Align expectations between US stakeholders and the Vietnam engineering team
- Manage priorities, scope, risks, and dependencies across time zones
- Proactively identify blockers and drive resolution
- Balance speed, quality, and compliance, especially for MVPs and early releases
- Use feedback and data to improve both product and process
Required
- Strong English communication skills
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Product Manager, or similar role
- Experience working directly with international clients, preferably US-based
- Experience working with engineering teams in Vietnam or similar delivery setups
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive execution
- Comfortable challenging requirements and asking hard questions
- Able to operate in fast-moving, sometimes ambiguous environments
Nice to Have
- Experience in finance, lending, or fintech products
- Familiarity with loan workflows, CRM, KYC, underwriting, or compliance concepts
- Experience delivering MVPs for startups
- Basic technical understanding (APIs, systems, data flows)
- Experience working across multiple time zones
