Product - Service Coach
FPT Software
Job Description
WORK LOCATION: Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh, Da Nang
JOB OVERVIEW
• The Product/ Service Advisor is an internal advisory and coaching role responsible for helping AI‑first venture service teams define, shape, and mature their product and service offerings. Working across multiple venture services in parallel, this role acts as the internal coach for product thinking, ensuring teams are equipped to clearly articulate what the service is, why it exists, and how it delivers value.
• This role focuses on product clarity, direction, and readiness, rather than delivery execution or direct customer engagement. The Product / Service Advisor enables venture teams by providing templates, processes, policies, and structured approaches that help them translate early ideas into coherent, scalable, and commercially viable services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Product & Service Advisory (Internal Coaching)
• Act as an internal product/service coach to multiple venture service teams simultaneously
• Guide teams in applying strong product thinking to early‑stage and scaling services.
Help venture teams clarify
• Target users and customers
• Core problems and jobs‑to‑be‑done
• Value propositions and outcomes
• Service scope and boundaries
• Challenge assumptions and help teams move from solution‑led thinking to problem‑led product definition
“What & Why” Definition
• Support venture teams in defining and continuously refining the “what” and the “why” behind each service.
• Ensure product and service concepts remain grounded in real customer needs and market context.
• Help teams articulate clear product narratives that can later be used by customer‑facing roles.
• Act as an internal point of clarity when teams struggle with ambiguity or conflicting priorities.
Templates, Processes & Product Playbooks
• Provide venture teams with standard templates, frameworks, and playbooks for product and service definition, such as:
• Problem–solution framing
• Service definition and scope documents
• Feature and capability prioritization approaches
• Readiness checklists by venture stage
• Coach teams on how to use these templates and processes effectively, not just fill them in.
Cross‑Functional Product Alignment (Internal)
• Work closely with engineering, architecture, design, insights, and go‑to‑market stakeholders to ensure alignment around product direction.
• Help teams navigate trade‑offs between customer needs, technical feasibility, and commercial intent.
• Ensure that product and service definitions are understandable and usable across disciplines.
• Reduce misalignment and rework by strengthening early product clarity.
• Hands-on Product / Service Ownership coaching, actively engaging with teams to drive the translation of ideas into real, working solutions.
Product & Service Readiness Across Venture Stages
• Coach teams on what “good” looks like at each stage of the SBA lifecycle (Validation, Incubation, Scale, Commercialization).
• Help venture teams prepare product and service deliverables that are appropriate for their maturity level.
• Ensure services are internally ready to be handed off to:
• Customer engagement coaches
• Pre‑sales teams
• Delivery and support organizations
• Focus on readiness, consistency, and scalability rather than feature completeness.
REQUIREMENTS
• Experience: 5-7 years of experience in product management, service design, product strategy, or a closely related role.
• Product Thinking: Strong ability to frame problems, define value, and guide product direction without owning delivery execution.
• Coaching & Advisory Skills: Experience influencing teams through guidance, frameworks, and facilitation rather than authority.
• Cross‑Functional Experience: Proven ability to work effectively with engineering, design, and business stakeholders.
• AI & Technology Exposure: Experience with AI, data, or advanced technology products is a strong plus.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Mindset & Working Style
• Advisor First: You enable teams to succeed rather than taking ownership yourself.
• Structured but Flexible: You bring clarity without over‑prescribing solutions.
• Comfortable with Ambiguity: You enjoy early‑stage innovation and evolving contexts.
• System Thinker: You look for repeatable patterns and scalable approaches.
• Collaborative: You thrive in matrixed, cross‑functional environments.
Language
• English: mandatory (working language).
• Vietnamese: highly appreciated.
