Job Description
Job Objective:
To lead and develop product strategy and end-to-end development process, from conceptualization to market launch.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy & Guideline
• Develop annual and seasonal product roadmaps across key categories (furniture, home décor, textiles, lighting, etc.) with Brand manager
• Identify growth opportunities through category expansion, pricing architecture, and assortment planning
• Ensure a balanced portfolio: partner, core products, and margin drivers
2. Product Development & Sourcing
• Lead end-to-end product development from concept to in-store launch
• Translate design direction into commercially viable products through external suppliers
• Source and evaluate manufacturers/vendors based on capability, cost, quality, and scalability
3. Design Direction & Brand Alignment
• Work closely with in-house design team to define product aesthetics and collections
• Ensure consistency in design language, materials, and quality across all categories
• Balance creativity with commercial viability and operational feasibility
4. Commercial Performance & Pricing
• Define pricing strategy and target margins by category
• Monitor product performance (sell-through, margins, stock turns)
• Drive profitability through cost engineering and supplier negotiations
5. Cross-functional Leadership
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operation to align product plans with business goals
• Work with supply chain to manage lead times, MOQs, and inventory risks
6. Supplier & Partner Management
• Build and maintain a strong network of domestic and international suppliers
• Ensure quality control standards and compliance through partners
• Manage accounts receivable, verify and reconcile accounts, and prepare payment documents for partners.
Key Requirements:
• 4–6+ years in product management, product development, or merchandising (home & living, furniture, or related industries)
• Proven experience working with external manufacturers/vendors (OEM/ODM)
• Strong track record of launching successful product lines
• Strong commercial acumen and understanding of retail economics
• Deep knowledge of materials, construction, and manufacturing processes
• Ability to balance design, cost, and operational constraints
• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills
• Data-driven decision-making with strong analytical capabilities
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Professional English proficiency.
Preferred
• Experience in fast-growing retail or startup environments
• Exposure to international sourcing (e.g., Vietnam, China, SEA)
• Background in design, industrial design, or merchandising is a plus
