The Job
1. Core Product Experience (Parent + Teen)
- Design end-to-end journeys:
- Onboarding (parent + teen)
- Weekly usage loops
- Insight delivery (AI Copilot)
- Retention flows
- Translate complex outputs (AI insights, mentor signals) into simple, trusted, actionable UI
Target:
- Users understand value within first session
- Parents come back weekly (not passive dashboards)
- Clear “what should I do now” experience
2. Conversion & Revenue UX
- Design flows that directly impact:
- Trial → paid
- Monthly → annual upsell
- Renewal
- Work closely with growth & sales to optimize:
- Onboarding call support flows
- Payment UX
- Trust-building interfaces
Target:
- Increase onboarding conversion
- Reduce drop-off in first 7 days
- Improve AOV through UX, not just sales scripts
3. Behavior Design (Core Differentiator)
- Design experiences that influence:
- Teen engagement & trust
- Parent behavior change (not just information consumption)
- Use frameworks like:
- Habit loops
- Emotional triggers
- Progressive disclosure
Target:
- Parents take action, not just read
- Teens continue sessions voluntarily
- Product becomes part of weekly routine
4. Product System & Design Infrastructure
- Build scalable design system across:
- Parent app
- Internal tools (mentor dashboards, QA tools)
- Growth surfaces (landing pages, onboarding flows)
- Ensure consistency across product + marketing

What This Role Is NOT

Your Skills and ExperienceMust-have:
- 2–5+ years in product design (consumer or high-frequency product preferred)
- Strong UX thinking (flows, not just screens)
- Experience designing for conversion, retention, or engagement
- Ability to work from messy inputs (no perfect briefs)
High-signal traits:
- You think in user behavior, not UI
- You can explain why a design will move a metric
- You move fast and don’t wait for clarity
- You care about impact, not Dribbble shots
Strong Bonus
- Experience with AI products (LLM interfaces, copilots, chat UX)
- Experience in education, parenting, or behavior-driven products
- Ability to run lightweight user research (interviews, rapid testing)
