Job Description
IMPACT and OPPORTUNITY:
• To lead all team of process quality engineers, process quality technician to achieve all set quality targets through the use of preventive tools, continuous improvement activities and real time problem solving
• To ensure that all products produced satisfy customer requirements by creating, maintaining, implementing and monitoring product quality plans, inspection plans
• To drive for continue improvement on both process and product quality through the PDCA process
• To implement the quality management systems throughout the managed areas
• To Ensure the promotion of customer focus through out the managed areas
• To support and cultivate a culture of First-time quality, Zero Defects and Continuous improvement
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead team of process quality engineering to achieve all set of quality targets within the managed area
• To ensure manufactured products are consistently meet both external and internal requirements. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations
• To be responsible for planning for team (man power, cost (equipment, travel, etc.), quality related APQP activies which aligned with project timing and project milestone). Effectively delivery the plan to team members
• Approve for quality plans and inspection plan for products manufactured in the managed group.
• Monitor their effectiveness of the control plan and inspection plan to continously drive for customer satisfaction and effeciency of the organization
• Build, improving working procedure for team member (within scope of work) including cooperating with the process/procedure owner to improve the process/procedure
• Involve in the process of defining objectives and to perform performance and company value evaluation to each team member including feedback to employee and define trainng and development plan to develop them.
• To be responsible for the final evaluation and decision regarding any enquires about inferior product or customer complaint regarding any of the company’s products or services
• To stop shipment to ensure that non-conforming product do not ship to customer and stop production to correct quality problems or process that do not comform to requirements
• Effectively implement and ensuring the integrity of releated quality processes within the Quality Management system within the managed areas
• Assure for fulfilment of training for all members within managed areas
• Final responsible for quality performance, report/action plan for managed area. Took appropriate actions to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
EDUCATION: Graduated from University (Major in Engineering)
EXPERIENCE:
• At least 5-7 years experienced in the same position.
• At least 7-10 year in Manufacturing environment; automotive industry is preferred
OTHERS:
• Experience working in with IATF 16949
• Proven record of high level of compliance and quality mind set
• Personality: Good communicator, Assertive, Drive, Fair, Patient, Responsible
• Must adopt a practical approach towards work
• Must be methodical
• High level of problem solving and analytical skills – able to analyse data and information from different areas of the business and come up with a summarized conclusion and argument.
• Time Management – able to prioritize tasks and allocate time appropriately.
• Presentation Skills – able to deliver public speaches to top management with confidence and clarity
• Team work skills – able work in a team and in harmony with all team members but at the same time confident of own skills and opinions.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six sigma
• Leadersihip skills - ability to identify oppotunities, objectives and drive team to achieve result
• High level of spoken and written English
• Excellent computer skills, presentation (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Emergency Handling ability
