In this role, you will be the first line of support for researchers and internal users by managing and resolving issues via the JIRA service desk.

Manage and resolve operational issues reported via the JIRA Service Desk by internal users and researchers. For highly complex cases, you will coordinate with the DevOps team while retaining ticket ownership to ensure final resolution.
Enhance operational efficiency and processes by analyzing recurring problems, suggesting workflow improvements, and facilitating smooth inter-team communication.
Build automation tools to accelerate operations. This includes exploring bot implementations for repetitive tasks and writing scripts to programmatically auto-categorize or manage tickets in JIRA.
Work cross-functionally alongside DevOps, Engineering, and Research departments to maintain stable, secure, and scalable system operations.

Your Skills and Experience

Must-have:

A strong inclination towards troubleshooting and driving continuous improvement.
Good Python programming proficiency with a minimum of 2 years of practical, hands-on experience.
2+ years of experience working within Linux environments and utilizing relational databases (such as MySQL).
Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD toolchains.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
Strong debugging capabilities and analytical thinking skills.
Solid English communication skills (both written and verbal) to work effectively in a global setup.
Prior experience with automation, writing scripts for operational workflows, or JIRA customization.

Nice-to-have:

Background in DevOps or operational support roles.
Exposure to Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence techniques.
Familiarity with Generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini) for enhancing support efficiency.
