[Middle/ Senior] Cloud Engineer (AWS)

Your role & responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage cloud-based infrastructure on AWS using services such as EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and more.
• Design scalable and highly available systems that meet business requirements. Provide recommendations for cost-effective cloud architecture and resource scaling.
• Utilize AWS Cost Explorer, Trusted Advisor, and other AWS tools for cost analysis and optimization.
• Create, manage, and optimize AWS cloud environments and resources (e.g., security groups, VPCs, IAM roles).
• Ensure security best practices for AWS services, including network security (firewalls, VPNs), IAM, encryption, and access control.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Write scripts to automate repetitive tasks (e.g., with Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
• Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline deployments.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting to ensure compliance and security (using AWS CloudWatch, AWS CloudTrail).
• Analyze logs, metrics, and cloud monitoring tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic) to troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks.
• Work closely with software developers, operations teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver cloud solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support for cloud-based initiatives.
• Document architecture, design decisions, and operational procedures for internal and client use.
• Stay updated on the latest AWS features and services and evaluate their potential to enhance cloud solutions.
• Participate in architecture reviews to propose new solutions and improvements.
• Other tasks are assigned by Manager.

Your skills & qualifications

Technical Skills and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related major.
• At least 2 years of in-depth experience operating and designing AWS-based applications.
• Certification: Active AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
• Strong understanding of Linux and Windows environments.
• Ability to map business requirements to complex technical architectures using the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Proficient in creating and managing AWS CloudFormation templates or third-party tools like Terraform for automating deployments.
• Deep knowledge of AWS networking components (VPC, Route 53, VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway).
• Expertise in selecting appropriate services (EC2, Lambda, EKS, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB) based on performance and cost requirements.
• Implementation of security best practices, including IAM roles/policies, encryption (KMS, CloudHSM), and compliance monitoring (AWS Config, CloudTrail).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins) and scripting languages (Python/Boto3, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience in migrating on-premises applications to AWS and integrating hybrid cloud environments.

 

Other Skills:

• Experience working with Japanese clients or offshore development models is preferred.
