Job Description
The Medical Affairs Manager is responsible for driving the scientific and medical strategy across assigned therapeutic areas (Oncology, Cardio-Metabolic, Gastroenterology, Virology, ED & Critical Care). This role ensures high-quality medical engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure accurate medical communication and compliance. The position also supports both ETC (Ethical/Prescription) and OTC (Over-the-Counter) products aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. Medical Strategy & Planning
• Develop and execute local medical strategies aligned with global and regional frameworks for multiple therapeutic areas.
• Contribute to development of local medical plans, scientific communication plans.
• Work closely with Marketing, Market Access, Regulatory, Commercial, and Sales teams to support product launches and lifecycle activities.
• Provide medical insights to support brand strategies and promotional planning.
2. Medical Education
• Plan and deliver medical training for internal teams (sales representatives, marketing teams).
• Support continuing medical education (CME)/scientific education initiatives for HCP partners.
• Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards.
• Prepare scientific data into insights that guide commercial decision-making.
3. Scientific Communication
• Provide scientific and clinical expertise to internal team (Sales, Marketing, Regulatory, Market Access).
• Ensure scientific accuracy of promotional and educational materials for both ETC and OTC products.
• Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries from HCPs, for OTC, and internal teams.
4. KOL Engagement
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and scientific societies in Oncology, Cardio-Metabolic, Gastro, Virology, Erectile Dysfunction areas.
• Facilitate advisory boards, expert meetings, and speaker programs.
• Gather insight and feedback to inform strategy and identify unmet medical needs.
5. Compliance & Governance
• Ensure all activities are compliant with local regulations, industry codes, and company policies.
• Support pharmacovigilance reporting and safety information dissemination in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Assist in review/approval of promotional materials and medical content.

Education
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medicine, pharmacy or Life Sciences. Advanced degree is a plus (PharmD, MD, MSc).
Experience
• Minimum 2+ years in medical affairs or related roles in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry.
• Experience across both ETC and OTC products preferred.
• Therapeutic focus experience in Oncology, Cardio-Metabolic, Gastroenterology, Virology, and/or Erectile Dysfunction is highly advantageous.
