Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Manufacturing Plant Director to lead and oversee all aspects of plant operations with full strategic and operational accountability.
The ideal candidate will ensure efficient, best-in-class jewelry manufacturing, maintaining high quality standards, optimizing costs, and delivering on time, while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This role will also foster strong collaboration with stakeholders, build a high-performing and trust-based leadership team, and strengthen the local talent pipeline and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategy & Manufacturing Setup
• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost control
• Build and lead production teams during factory setup, including organizational design, capability development, and operational readiness
• Establish scalable production models and ensure a smooth ramp-up to meet operational KPIs
• Own short- to mid-term production performance while building long-term manufacturing capabilities
2. Operations & Performance Management
• Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently met
• Optimize the allocation of manpower, equipment, materials, and methods to maximize efficiency
• Monitor KPIs and establish robust performance management systems, including deviation tracking and corrective actions
• Ensure proper maintenance and effective utilization of plant equipment and facilities
3. Process & Technical Excellence
• Govern manufacturing processes through standardization, parameter control, SOPs, and control plans
• Oversee new equipment commissioning and process validation to ensure operational readiness
• Ensure consistency of processes, controls, and performance across production units and shifts
4. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to enhance productivity, capacity utilization, and process stability
• Lead initiatives to reduce defects, shorten lead times, and improve overall operational performance
5. Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and HR to ensure alignment and execution
• Lead production planning, capacity balancing, and prioritization to meet business demands
• Work closely with Finance to manage budgeting, optimize cost performance, and improve working capital
• Ensure ERP systems effectively support production planning, execution, and reporting
• Resolve technical and systemic issues while maintaining strong communication between shop floor and management
6. People Leadership & Capability Building
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations and production leadership team
• Establish clear accountability, succession planning, and leadership development frameworks
• Develop technical capabilities through structured training, coaching, and on-the-job development
• Foster a culture of ownership, discipline, collaboration, continuous improvement, and safety compliance

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean principles, and continuous improvement tools.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiency.
• Fluent in English (preferred).

• Experience in the jewelry industry.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
