The Job
As an IT Business Analyst, you will be the vital link between our customers and internal teams. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their requirements, run workshops, lead user training, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). In addition, you will play an important PreSales role by contributing to customer presentations, solution demonstrations, and proposal support. Internally, you'll contribute to shaping product features, streamlining business processes, and helping us deliver maximum value through SimpleMDG.
Responsibilities
Customer Engagement:
- Lead requirement-gathering sessions and discovery workshops with customers.
- Analyze customer pain points and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements.
- Conduct user training and onboarding sessions.
- Support UAT planning, coordination, and issue resolution.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers during implementation phases.
PreSales & Customer Presentation Support:
- Support PreSales activities by working closely with the Sales team to understand customer needs and proposed solutions.
- Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and solution presentations to customers and prospects.
- Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and Q&A sessions to articulate product value and business benefits.
- Contribute to proposal responses, solution descriptions, and high-level functional explanations during the sales cycle.
Product & Delivery Support:
- Write and maintain functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Work closely with the Product Development Team to clarify requirements and prioritize enhancements.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure test coverage aligns with business expectations.
- Identify areas of improvement in product usability and recommend enhancements based on customer feedback.
- Act as advanced support agent to support Customer Support team to resolve escalated technical issues.
Internal Process Improvement:
- Help design and optimize internal business processes related to project delivery and support.
- Contribute to improving delivery templates, documentation standards, and knowledge sharing.
- Support internal initiatives for better cross-functional collaboration.
- 3+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or Functional Consultant or IT PreSales, with proven experience working on projects with Japanese customers.
- Experience or strong interest in PreSales activities, including customer presentations, solution demos, and sales support.
- Japanese proficiency at N2 level or above, with good communication skills.
- English proficiency is an advantage but not required.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills will allow you to dissect complex customer needs and translate them into actionable roadmaps for successful product development.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for conveying complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders through clear communication, data-driven insights, and persuasive presentations.
- Experience with user story creation is highly desirable, allowing you to translate customer needs into actionable steps for the development team.
- Proficiency in Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) is a plus, but your eagerness to learn and adapt is paramount.
- Bachelor's Degree in business administration, information technology, or equivalent experience.
