Job Description
Position Summary
IBK Vietnam is seeking an IT Financial Closing Developer to support and enhance our core banking applications while ensuring the integrity of financial and accounting data throughout the daily and month-end closing processes.
This role combines Java application development with financial systems analysis, requiring the ability to understand transaction processing, investigate accounting logic, reconcile financial data, and collaborate with both technical and finance teams. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and interested in building expertise in banking and financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Systems Development
• Analyze, maintain, and enhance internal banking applications built with Java Spring/Spring Boot.
• Investigate application logic related to transaction processing and accounting postings.
• Support implementation of system improvements and bug fixes.
Financial Data & Closing Support
• Review accounting data generated from banking transactions, including accounts, amounts, fees, taxes, FX gains/losses, and settlements.
• Monitor daily closing activities and identify discrepancies in accounting balances.
• Support month-end financial closing by validating account balances and preparing financial data required for financial reporting.
• Analyze accounting rules, batch processes, and system configurations to ensure accurate financial postings.
Troubleshooting & Reconciliation
• Investigate transaction inconsistencies and financial data discrepancies.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate corrective actions.
• Support reconciliation between operational systems and accounting records.
Collaboration
• Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, and IT teams.
• Coordinate with IBK Korea headquarters regarding financial closing requirements and system enhancements.
• Support external auditors and accounting partners when required.
Technical Skills Required
• Java programming
• Spring Framework / Spring Boot
• SQL and relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, or similar)
• Database schema analysis
• Application debugging and troubleshooting
• Understanding of batch jobs and scheduled processing
• Source code analysis and maintenance

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Business,
or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Java web application development.
• Experience with Spring Framework (including Spring Boot).
• Experience using Oracle, MySQL, or similar relational databases.
• Native Vietnamese proficiency.
• Working-level English or Korean communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with one or more of the following will be highly regarded:
• Experience developing banking or financial systems.
• Experience supporting accounting, settlement, or financial closing systems.
• Experience performing reconciliation or balance verification.
• Knowledge of financial statements.
• Experience with batch processing or scheduling tools.
• Experience working in Korean or multinational organizations.
• Intermediate or higher English or Korean proficiency.
