[HN] DevOps Engineer

Your role & responsibilities

What You Will Own

• Design, provision, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Build and operate Kubernetes-based platforms supporting backend APIs, data services, batch processing, and GPU workloads.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for spatial APIs, platform services, and machine learning deployments.
• Implement observability across the platform, including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
• Manage container build pipelines, registries, deployment automation, and repository-level access controls.
• Implement security controls, secrets management, and platform access policies.
• Optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost for large-scale vector and raster data processing workloads.
• Create operational documentation, incident response procedures, and platform runbooks.

 

Core Technology Stack

• Cloud Infrastructure: AWS, EKS, EC2, IAM, S3, CloudWatch.
• Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, autoscaling, GPU workloads.
• Infrastructure Automation: Terraform, IaC practices.
• CI/CD & Delivery: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Argo Workflows.
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry.
• Platform Security: Secrets management and access controls.
• Scripting & Automation: Python and Bash.

Your skills & qualifications

What We Are Looking For

• Strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• CI/CD implementation and deployment automation experience.
• Strong Python and/or Bash scripting skills.
• Understanding of observability and platform reliability.
• Knowledge of security and secrets management.
• Professional working English.

 

Travel

This role may require occasional travel for customer deployments, platform rollouts, operational support, or engineering collaboration activities.

 

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting GIS or geospatial platforms.
• Experience with GPU workloads and ML infrastructure.
• Experience with streaming systems and large-scale data processing.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

 

First 90 Days

• Understand the system architectures and deployment workflows.
• Take ownership of infrastructure and CI/CD processes.
• Improve observability, reliability, and documentation.
•  Deliver measurable platform improvements.
