Job Description

1. Job Summary

The Hardlines Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations, technical performance, and business development of the Hardlines division. This role ensures compliance with international standards, operational excellence, revenue growth, and customer satisfaction across hardlines product categories. Hardlines products may include toys, furniture, juvenile products, household items, tools, and other consumer products.

2. Key Responsibilities

a) Operational & Technical Management

• Oversee daily operations of the Hardlines testing laboratory.

• Ensure compliance with international standards and regulations such as EN, ASTM, ISO, CPSIA, REACH, RoHS, CE, UKCA, etc.

• Monitor testing quality, turnaround time (TAT), and report accuracy.

• Approve test reports and provide technical guidance to the team.

• Stay updated on regulatory changes in key markets (EU, US, UK, Asia).

b) Business & Financial Management

• Develop and execute business strategies to grow the Hardlines division.

• Collaborate closely with the Team and relevant departments to manage revenue targets, budgeting, and cost control effectively.

• Support sales and business development activities with technical expertise.

c) Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and other accreditation requirements.

• Lead internal and external audits (accreditation bodies and customers).

• Handle non-conformities, customer complaints, and implement CAPA.

d) Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and develop supervisors, engineers, and technicians.

• Set KPIs and monitor team performance.

• Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

• Plan recruitment and training programs.

e) Equipment & Resource Management

• Oversee maintenance and calibration of testing equipment.

• Plan laboratory capacity expansion and equipment investment.

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Yêu cầu công việc

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical background or related field.

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in Hardlines testing or certification, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.

• Strong knowledge of international product safety regulations and compliance requirements.

• Strong experience managing ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories.

• Experience in laboratory setup, expansion, or accreditation projects.

• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.

• Good command of English (technical and business communication).
