Facility Engineer

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of the HSIO Plant in Bac Ninh. This role involves overseeing facility maintenance, safety, and compliance, as well as managing vendors and contractors. The Facilities Engineer will support drive operational excellence by developing and implementing best practices to ensure a clean, compliant, and functional workspace for employees. This position requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to issue resolution and continuous improvement. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Building Maintenance and Operations

• Operate and maintain the electromechanical system of the factory: electricity, water, fire protection, HVAC, compressed air, water supply and drainage.

• Collaborate with contractors to install, test, and accept technical systems during the construction phase.

• Participate with technicians in troubleshooting during equipment operation, investigate to determine causes, propose solutions to resolve issues, and prevent future occurrences.

• Plan and perform regular maintenance, timely address technical issues for the assigned equipment under management. Create SOP to standardize maintenance activities according to manufacturer’s guidelines.

• Monitor equipment operating status during production shifts, detect abnormalities and promptly fix them.

• Participate in technical improvements, upgrade electromechanical systems to optimize production efficiency. Support the installation of new machinery or relocation of equipment within the factory.

• Ensure reasonable spare parts inventory to promptly handle incidents.

• Report daily/weekly/monthly work to superiors.

• Other tasks as directed by the facility manager.

Safety & Compliance Management

• Conduct routine safety audits and inspections to identify and resolve hazards, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

• Prepare for RBA audits by conducting pre-audit assessments to identify gaps in RBA standards

• Develop corrective action plans for any identified issues during RBA RBA audits

• Implement and monitor safety policies and emergency procedures, such as fire drills and evacuation plans.

• Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and environmental standards. Adhere to labor safety regulations and maintenance procedures.

• Collaborate with HR and local government to stay informed about new compliance requirements and best practices in workplace safety.

Save Energy consumption

• Monitor energy consumption, propose improvements and solutions for saving electricity/water/ air pressure

Vendor & Contractor Management

• Track vendor performance against service level agreements

• Conduct quarterly performance reviews with vendors to ensure continuous service improvement.

• Maintain open communication with vendors to address service issues quickly and prevent recurring problems.

1. University graduated in electromechanics, electrical engineering, automation, mechanical, mechatronics or related fields, and proficient in computer usage.

2. At least 6 years of experience in maintaining technical systems in manufacturing plants.

3. Knowledge about industrial electricity, HVAC, fire protection systems, gas-water-drainage systems.

4. Preference for candidates who have participated in the technical setup phase for new factories.

5. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, Office, and able to understand technical documents in English.

6. Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to work independently, and perform well under pressure.

7. Teamwork spirit, capable of guiding and training technicians with good teamwork skills to create a cohesive environment with employees.

8. Proficient in English is an advantage.
