About the Role We are looking for a Data Scientist who enjoys working with real business data and transforming it into meaningful insights. In this role, you will work closely with IT, business, and operations teams to analyze data, build models, and create dashboards that empower people to make better decisions. This position is ideal for someone who loves solving practical problems rather than just building models for academic purposes.

What You Will Do

• Data Handling: Work with data from multiple sources (SQL Server, Oracle, BigQuery, Excel, CSV). Clean, prepare, and analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, root causes, and potential risks.
• Modeling: Build and refine machine learning models (forecasting, classification, regression, clustering) based on actual business needs. Validate and monitor model performance using appropriate metrics.
• Visualization & Storytelling: Communicate insights in a simple, business-friendly way:
  • Build dashboards and reports using Metabase.
  • Create clear charts, KPI views, drill-down analyses, and executive summaries.
  • Tell the “story behind the data” so non-technical users can understand and act on it.
  • Collaboration: Work directly with cross-functional teams (QC, Finance, Operations, Sales, etc.) to understand their pain points and translate them into data solutions.
  • Implementation: Support POC (Proof of Concept) initiatives for AI/ML before scaling to production. Document methodology, assumptions, and results to ensure reusability and transparency.

Your Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Solid experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn).
• Strong working knowledge of SQL (SQL Server, Oracle, or BigQuery).
• A solid understanding of statistics and machine learning fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience building dashboards or reports, especially using Metabase.
• Experience working with real-world business data (beyond academic or training datasets).

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google BigQuery, GCP, or cloud-based data platforms.
• Familiarity with dbt or other data transformation tools.
• Background in Retail, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality Control, or Finance.
• Experience deploying machine learning models into production or business workflows.
• Proven track record: At least 3 years of continuous experience in a Data Scientist role at a single company, with a long-term career commitment.
