1. Position Purpose

The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing all accounting, taxation, and financial reporting activities for Rieckermann Vietnam, ensuring full compliance with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS), tax regulations, and Rieckermann Group’s internal financial policies and reporting requirements. This role ensures accuracy, transparency, and timeliness in financial data for management decision-making and external audit purposes.


2. Key Responsibilities


A. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Manage and supervise all daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, and fixed assets.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with VAS and reconcile with Group reporting standards.

• Ensure all financial data is accurate, properly recorded, and compliant with both local and group requirements.

• Perform month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.

• Coordinate with Group Finance to prepare intercompany reconciliations and consolidation schedules.


B. Taxation & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with Vietnamese tax laws and statutory reporting (VAT, PIT, CIT, FCT, etc.).

• Manage tax declarations, submissions, and payments on time; maintain strong relationships with tax authorities.

• Provide tax advisory support for both local and cross-border transactions, including foreign contractor tax (FCT).

• Support internal and external audits, tax inspections, and ensure all audit findings are addressed promptly.

• Advise management on changes in tax or accounting regulations that may impact operations.


C. Internal Controls & Policy Compliance

• Implement and maintain an effective internal control system to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.

• Review and approve accounting vouchers, payments, and journal entries.

• Ensure compliance with Rieckermann Group’s finance and accounting policies, including approval workflows, segregation of duties, and expense control.

• Periodically review accounting procedures for process improvement and efficiency.


D. Treasury & Cash Management

• Oversee daily cash flow, banking operations, and foreign currency transactions.

• Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts for management review.

• Manage relationships with banks and coordinate for credit facilities, FX transactions, and banking documentation.

• Monitor collection and payment schedules to ensure proper liquidity for operations.


E. People Management & Development

• Supervise and mentor the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate execution of assigned tasks.

• Develop staff capabilities through training, coaching, and succession planning.

• Foster a culture of integrity, teamwork, and accountability within the Finance Department.

F. Business Support & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Provide financial insights and analytical support for business decisions (e.g., pricing, budgeting, CAPEX, and cost analysis).

• Partner with local and regional stakeholders (e.g., Sales, Service, HR) to ensure business activities are aligned with financial standards and goals.

• Participate in system upgrades or digital transformation initiatives (e.g., ERP, automation, reporting tools).

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

- Chief Accountant Certificate (required by Vietnamese law); CPA/ACCA is an advantage.

- Minimum 8–10 years in accounting, with at least 3 years in a Chief Accountant or Finance Manager position in an international company.

- Proficient in English (written and spoken).

- Strong knowledge of VAS, tax regulations, IFRS, and reporting standards. Experienced with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar). - Excellent Excel and data analysis skills.

- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.


Key Interfaces

• Internal: Country Head, Regional Finance Controller, HR, Sales, Service, and Admin teams.

• External: Tax authorities, auditors, banks, and regulatory agencies.


Working Conditions

• Workplace: Rieckermann Vietnam Office – Viettel Tower, District 10, Ho Chi Minh City.

• Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

• Occasional travel may be required for audit or training purposes.
