Job Description
As the Company’s sole HR representative in Vietnam, this role ensures full HR compliance, manages employee relations, and oversees local operations. Reporting to the Senior HR Manager in Hong Kong and working in close collaboration with HR teammates in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China, the appointee serves as the critical link between the regional office, our local service provider (Faro), and staff members based at various vendor factory locations across Vietnam.
1. HR Operations, Compliance & External Provider Oversight:
• Service Provider Management: Act as the primary point of contact for the local outsourced HR service provider (Faro). Audit and ensure the accuracy of payroll, statutory insurance (SI/HI/UI) contributions, and Personal Income Tax (PIT) filings.
• Statutory Reporting: Collaborate with the service provider to prepare and submit mandatory periodical reports regarding employment status and labor usage to various government organizations and local labor bureaus
• Employment Contract Lifecycle Operations: Manage the end-to-end employment contract lifecycle for Vietnamese employees across various Business Units, ensuring all terms comply with the latest Vietnam Labor Code, new government regulations, and Amer Sports Group governance standards.
• Operational Compliance: Oversee general compliance for the local entity, including document preparation, registration of Internal Labor Rules (ILR), and other mandatory local filings, including ongoing maintenance.
• HRIS Operations & Data Integrity: Maintain and update all Vietnam-based personnel records, ensuring data integrity and timely updates within the Global HRIS.
2. Employee Relations & Cultural Liaison
• Localized Employee Advocacy: Act as the primary local touchpoint to foster closer connections with colleagues; leverage deep understanding of Vietnamese culture, local regulations, and market norms to proactively address staff needs and enhance engagement.
• Bridge Communication: Serve as the "eyes and ears" for the Global Sourcing Asia HR team; translate regional policies into locally relevant practices while ensuring cultural alignment.
• Local Market Insights: Provide updates on local market norms, labor trends, and benchmarked benefits to ensure the group remains a competitive employer in Vietnam.
3. Recruitment Support & Talent Growth
• Provide support and work collaboratively with Global Sourcing Asia Recruitment Team at the initial stage. In the long-term, gradually take ownership of the recruitment cycle for the Vietnam entity as the role matures and capacity allows .
4. Administrative Collaboration
• Work closely with the newly appointed local Accountant to manage general office compliance and administrative expenses
Academic
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of Vietnam Labor Law, Social Insurance regulations, and PIT requirements
• Professional HR certification (e.g., Vietnam HR Association or international equivalent) is a plus
Experience
• Minimum 5–8 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably within a Foreign Invested Enterprise (FIE) or a multinational corporation.
• Background in Garment, Footwear, or Technical Apparel supply chain/trading environments is advantageous
• Proven track record in managing third-party payroll/HR service providers

• Fluent in both Vietnamese and English (written and spoken) is mandatory. Proficiency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a significant advantage for collaborating with HR teams in HK and Mainland China.
• High degree of integrity and the ability to work independently under remote supervision.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Chinese word processing will be a plus
• Experience in HR System (Workday preferred)
• Able to travel to factory sites within Vietnam as required
