Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

• Developing interior or architecture documentation from concept stage through to construction.

• Exposure and training to international professional standards and practices.

• Potential career development and future leadership opportunities.

• Potential to lead a small local team producing interior or architecture documentation for international projects based on previous experience.

• Located in the HCMC office in Vietnam with a supportive team.

• Full time role position.


ABOUT THE ROLE

Objectives and Key Result Areas The specific roles and activities discussed with you are (but not limited to) the following:

• To prepare accurate, consistent architectural & Interior architecture drawings as part of a small local team and a larger international team.

• Develop design documentation from initial concept stage through to construction stage.

• Following company standards and codes of practice in architectural and interior design.

• Receiving and understanding detailed markups from the project architects and senior team members. Ensuring accurate and careful execution.

• Checking Interior, architectural drawings and markup to ensure they are correct free from errors.

• Taking responsibility for the drawings and being aware of any issues or potential problems and clearly communicating these to the greater team.

• Notifying senior staff of design problems or ideas for improvement of the buildings. Work collaboratively to achieve a better outcome for the project and documentation.

• Working well with all team members in a relaxed but professional environment.

• Manage your own time to complete tasks to agreed deadlines, or communicate any issues about not meeting the agreed timeframes.

• Planning workload for your team and time management.

• Take part in global Teams communication and meetings on a weekly or daily basis.

• Participation in project reviews.

• Mentoring and management of team members.

• Willingness to learn construction methodologies, building codes and planning ordinances.

• Capability, accuracy, speed, etc. in preparing documentation and details.

• Coordination of consultants documentation.

• To demonstrate construction knowledge through (but not limited to):

o Extensive knowledge of interior construction detailing and delivery methodology.

o Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, fire and other services.

o Buildability, knowledge and experience.

• To continuously enhance your skills experience and breadth of knowledge, through training and self-education, in order that you can take on greater responsibility.

• To be innovative and creative in improving or developing better products, services, methods, systems for the implementation and delivery of projects.

• To operate within the procedural guidelines of the firm’s management policies and professional practice standards unless otherwise formally authorized.

Required

• 3-10 years’ experience in architecture or interior architecture

• Bachelor of Architecture degree or interior design degree required.

• Good communication skills in both English and Vietnamese written and spoken.

• Experience in architectural co-ordination considered highly.

• Experience in interior & joinery documentation.

• Time management and team resourcing and management.

• Willingness to learn ArchiCAD BIM software


Preferred

• Experience in construction documentation, detailing & co-ordination.

• Experience in interior & joinery documentation.

• Experience in Revit or ArchiCad software

• Experience working on projects locally or internationally

• Self-directed, learning and reading (Australian standards, installation guidelines, reports)

• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Vietnamese is an advantage.

• Strong time management and team resourcing and management skills are preferred

• Strong communication & Interaction
