We are looking for an AI Engineer (Applied AI) to join our technology team and drive the adoption of AI across software development, data & analytics, and operational workflows.

In this role, you will focus on building and experimenting with AI-driven solutions, rapidly developing proof-of-concepts (POCs), and turning them into practical, production-ready tools and automations. You will work closely with engineering, product, data, and business teams to identify opportunities where AI can create real impact.

This role reports to the Project Manager / Head of Business Technology and is well-suited for candidates with a strong logical mindset, an interest in data, models, and technology, and a desire to grow in AI-driven investment products.

Key Responsibilities 

• Explore and identify opportunities to apply AI across software development, data & analytics, and operational processes.
• Build and iterate on AI-driven POCs, including use cases such as: AI assistants and copilots, Intelligent document processing and summarization, Investment Q&A and recommendation tools, Workflow automation and decision-support systems
• Develop and deploy AI-powered automation workflows that improve productivity across internal teams and customer-facing products.
• Work with LLM APIs and AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, LangChain, vector databases) to build features such as: Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG); Semantic search and embeddings; Chatbots and AI assistants.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, data engineers, and product teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and platforms.
• Design and maintain lightweight ML/AI pipelines for data processing, model integration, evaluation, and deployment.
• Take ownership of end-to-end delivery, from idea to POC, production, monitoring and improvement.
• Work with external vendors or partners to evaluate, integrate, and operate third-party AI solutions, including taking over systems for internal use and enhancement.
• Monitor performance of AI solutions, continuously improving quality, reliability, and user experience.
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in AI, LLMs, and applied AI use cases, and bring relevant ideas into the organization.
• Experience working with data processing and feature engineering, including preparing datasets, transforming raw data into meaningful features, and supporting model development and evaluation.

Your Skills and Experience

Must-Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.
• 2–5+ years of experience in applied AI, ML engineering, or building AI-powered applications.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering techniques, including prompt design, chaining, context management, and evaluation for building reliable LLM-based applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python (or similar), and familiarity with modern AI/ML ecosystems.
• Experience working with LLMs and AI tools, such as: OpenAI / Claude / similar APIs; LangChain or equivalent frameworks; Vector databases / embeddings.
• Strong problem-solving and logical thinking, with the ability to quickly turn ideas into working prototypes.
• Experience building end-to-end solutions (not just models), including integration into real systems.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, experimental environment with evolving requirements.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to drive initiatives independently.

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience applying AI in financial services, trading, or investment-related use cases.
• Experience working with or delivering solutions for fintech partners or external clients.
• Experience in taking over, operating, and improving AI systems from external vendors.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, analytics systems, or BI tools.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
